This is just a small selection of things going on inside my skull. I do not have any difficulty working on a variety of projects at the same time; in fact I find it inspiring.

Children’s story about a slimy, snotty alien creature, which has played stow-away on a space patrol vessel. He finally comes to Earth but finds the planet extremely strange and prefers to make his home in the bog lands, which resemble his home planet. With the bog as his sanctuary he embarks on endlessly strange adventures.

This is being written as a children’s book and a children’s TV drama, the pilot of which is complete and has been submitted to the various broadcasters' commissioning editors.

WHEN THE RAINDROPS FALL

An adult novel, initially written as a ‘long’ short story but it has developed into a deeper more involved project. Also planned to be adapted as a play for stage or TV.

A world hardened but ‘in control’ prostitute returns home one wet evening to find a young girl huddled up on her doorstep. She takes the girl in and adopts her for a while. The story revolves around the growth of their relationship and the effects of each on the other. The prostitute is put back in touch with her emotions and the girl develops sufficient ‘hardness’ to face the realities of the world.

A thought-provoking tearjerker with some surprising emotional twists.

NACHTAMA

A novel of the supernatural/horror genre. Divided into three parts, the story deals with the fight against an ancient soul that possesses a host and absorbs all its knowledge and experiences. The soul has its origins in ancient India although the story is set in the modern day. The soul is not necessarily evil, it is merely trying to survive but lost.

A young woman is witness to the death of a tramp after a road accident and the soul transfers to her as he dies. A complete stranger is drawn to her and he befriends her. It is a while before the Nachtama takes complete control; her feelings and the strange language that she keeps hearing in her subconscious begin to confuse her.

Part one deals with her possession and her fight with it, also the development of a relationship with the hero of the story.

Part two deals with the realisation of her possession, by herself and the hero. The two then embark upon a voyage of discovery as they research the Nachtama and its origins.

Part three deals with the fight against the Nachtama and its exorcism from her.
Not an easy fight as its roots are so ancient.

She is saved but at a price. The Nachtama?
...Let the dance begin.

A WALK TO COMFORT

This is the first part of a fantasy set in pre-megalithic times; it explores the possible lives of our pre-Celtic ancestors, their magical practices and beliefs. The complete work is divided into a number of short stories centred on one village. All the stories have a thread throughout, which is eventually tied in the final encounters at a ‘rehearsal for Stonehenge’ in the last story.

‘A Walk to Comfort’ tells of a couple’s journey to the river Comfort in search of a cure for their sick child. Their love and determination battles against the odds but they will prevail. The adventure of their journey is mystical and erotic at times yet innocent and enduring to their beliefs.

JEROME THE GNOME

A children’s story about the adventures of a garden gnome. The first story tells of how Jerome rescues his two friends from the pond of their neglected garden. He has to battle with the boys from next door and the ‘big cat’ but manages to pull off the rescue.

This is either book one or part one depending upon how it is to be published.
Further stories go on to tell of the three gnomes adventures as they go on their journey to Gromad, a magical village for gnomes where they can live their lives in complete safety from the big bad outside world...or can they?

The first story is soon to be published.

AND…..

I continually find fresh ideas creeping into my imagination and intend to cultivate most of them in various forms, or include them in existing projects.
My artwork is always ongoing and finds its way into many elements of my work.
Occasionally I wish that I did not have quite so many ideas but generally I relish what goes on in and comes out of my mind although I have no idea where it all originates…. now there’s another storyline!
