A
Shropshire author has published a book about the glam rock star
who first inspired him to write.
Tony
Stringfellow, of Donnington, says that he has been writing since
he was 13, when he became a fan of 70s' singer Marc Bolan.
As
well as being number one in the charts, Bolan was also a best-selling
poet with his book "The Warlock of Love".
Mr
Stringfellow's first published book, "From Beneath the
Wizard's Gown", is an analysis of Bolan's work and contains
the first collection of his poetry to be published since The
Warlock of Love.
The
book aims to give credibility to the words of the glam rock
king and also attempts to journey into the mind of the star,
making some amazing revelations.
Mr
Stringfellow, who has lived in Telford for around two years
after moving from Bridgnorth, said: "I've worked in TV
and theatre for 20 or 30 years and used to make props but gradullay
moved over into writing and directing.
"This
book is inspired by a large selection of previously unpublished
Bolan poetry."
The
book will be published by Aureus Publishing on October 24.
